WHERE TO SHOOT - LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!! *NEW*
This is a potential range and an opportunity. This range wants 50 cal.
shooters. They will build a 600 yd., fixed target, vhp range if they feel
there is enough interest. This could be, interestingly, a 50 only range.
This facility is a first class shotgun range now. To gauge the interest
the facility would like potential shooters to call and inquire.

WASHINGTON STATE: In the valley of Mt. Rainier lies the
small town of Eatonville Washington. This is the home of the Upper Nisqually
Sportsmen's Club and the Pacific Northwest .50 BMG Shooters Association.
Every First Sunday of the month our mission is to stir up the calm air
with the smell of gunpowder, and the blast of the .50 BMG cartridges.
This is what we do now, but it wasn't always that way. Nearly 6
years ago a couple guys owning .50 BMG's showed up at the Upper Nisqually
Sportsmen's Club with their rifles for some target practice. Looking over
each other's rifles they started to wonder how many more people in the
Pacific Northwest owned these big guns. They discussed how difficult would
it to be to organize a shoot and wondered just how many people would show
up? After finishing at the range one of the guys signed on to local web
site and listed information for who might be interested in attending a
.50 BMG fun shoot. Initially this advertisement drew some interest. Knowing these big guns are noisy they asked the club
if it was O.K. to shoot 50s, and the club granted permission. Six
shooters showed up at the first fun shoot, with the range officer keeping
a keen eye on everything that was happening. From six shooters the
number of participants began to grow each month. After one year we were
making flyers advertising for others to join our sport shooting. Lacking
a name one of the club members came up with Pacific Northwest .50 BMG
Shooters Association which was the birth of our organization. We currently have approximately 20 shooters that participate
in our matches, with an average of 7 to 9 shooters participating each
month, and have had 12 shooters appear for some events. We organize and
run the match / fun shoot every month except June and July. With payment
of a $15 entry fee, the competitors' fire 3 five shot groups at 550 yards,
for group size, score and accuracy. An additional $5.00 is collected at
the beginning of each match and cash awards are handed out at each match
for the smallest group aggregate, high score winner, closest to the “X,”
At the end of the year any shooter who has participated in at least 5
matches, is eligible to win one of 9 plaques which are handed out. Plaques
are awarded to first, second, and third place Annual Group Aggregate,
Highest Annual Score, and Largest Number of "X's". Clark Rifles: Clark Rifles is a membership
